An aggravated robbery at a Brownsville Dollar Tree lands a man behind bars.

Police rushed to the store on the 2400 block of Boca Chica Boulevard after a 911 caller claimed someone had a gun.

Witnesses say 25-year-old Marco Antonio Garcia was confronted by an employee after being suspected for leaving the store without paying for his merchandise.

It was then that Garcia allegedly became confrontational, going to his car and returning with what appeared to be a black handgun, which he pointed at the employee.

Garcia left the scene in a beige-colored vehicle.

Police were able to track down the suspect and arrest him on the 800 block of N. Expressway 77.

The weapon was also found in the car, but turned out to be a pellet gun.

Garcia is now charged with aggravated robbery, as well as two outstanding traffic warrants.

His bond is pending. Action 4 News will bring you the latest as it comes.
