Have you ever wondered just how meteorologists put together your weather forecast?

You can see the process unfold this weekend at the National Weather Service’s “Weather Fest”.

The Brownsville office will host a day of fun filled activities, including a guided tour of their facility and weather demonstrations.

Watch a weather balloon launch, or learn how to make a cloud, how heat is conducted, and more about water spouts.

First responders will also be there to discuss what they do in the event of a weather emergency.

Win one of dozens of door prizes, such as a NOAA weather radio, rain gages, and more!

Where:  National Weather Service-Brownsville
20 S. Vermillion Road
Time: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Phone: 956-504-1432
