A Harlingen man, being taken into custody for stabbing another man, was also arrested for credit card abuse.
The stabbing happened at home on the 300 block of North 5th St. in February.
Police said the victim showed up at Valley Baptist Medical Center with several stab wounds to the chest and back.
The victim said he had gotten into a fight when the stabbing happened.
Investigators were able to identify Joseph Frank Meidel, Jr. as the stabbing suspect and put a warrant out for his arrest.
Meidel was tracked down and arrested on March 11 at a home on Alta Vista Court.
A criminal check showed that Meidel was also wanted for credit card abuse.
His bond for the aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was set at $75,000 and his bond for the credit card abuse was set at $20,000.
