According to the family of Nicolas Benavides, the 20-year-old Schiltterbahn employee is on life support until his organs can be donated.

He was injured in an accident on Wednesday at Schlitterbaun and taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center.

Statement from the family:

“Thank you all for your prayers and concerns for my son, Nicco....he is now with our Lord. God needed him more in Heaven than on Earth...he is on life support until organs can be donated....HE WILL LIVE ON AND WILL SAVE OTHER LIVES! May you rest in peace... God please give the family understanding, comfort, and strength during this very hard time...AMEN.”
