Two women arrested for prostitution in downtown McAllen

McAllen police arrested two women for prostitution on Wednesday

Two women are facing criminal charges after being accused of practicing the world’s oldest profession in downtown McAllen.

McAllen police arrested 51-year-old Nedelia Botello and 42-year-old Silvia Montes on prostitution charges on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators told Action 4 News that officers arrested the two women on the 1600 block of Dallas Avenue.

Police said Botello is a McAllen resident while Montes is a Reynosa resident.

Both women appeared before a judge where they were both issued $1,000 dollar bonds.
