Authorities temporarily shut down the Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge after a suspicious package was found next to a toll booth.

It all happened at a toll booth on the southbound lanes of the bridge around 7:16 a.m. Tuesday.

Pharr police told Action 4 News that a patrol officer spotted a suspicious package next to the toll booth and reported it.

The McAllen Police Department Bomb Squad arrived at the scene and removed the package.

It's not clear what the package was but the bridge is back open.
