It's a trial that started more than three weeks ago and included 15 full days of testimony.

But jurors in the trial of attorney Marc Rosenthal could hear closing arguments this afternoon.

A federal grand jury indicted Rosenthal on racketeering charges.

Federal prosecutors allege that the Austin-based attorney headed up a cash for court favors scheme involving former 404th state district court Judge Abel Limas in Brownsville.

Rosenthal denies the allegations but prosecutors contend tens of thousands of dollars were traded for favorable court rulings.

Both Limas and former Texas State Rep Jim Solis testified against Rosenthal.

A federal judge granted a change of venue moving the trial to Corpus Christi.

Opening arguments started back on February 4th but dozens of witnesses have since testified for both sides of the case.

The trial hasn't been without courtroom drama.

U.S. District Court Judge Andrew Hanen temporarily revoked Rosenthal's bond for drinking alcohol and giving Solis a bear hug.

The two incident happened despite strict orders against consuming any alcohol and contact witnesses in the trial.

Testimony for the trial ended on Tuesday afternoon.

Prosecutors and defense attorneys meet in court at 9 a.m. Wednesday with jurors expected back at 1 p.m.
