CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS (AP) -- Prosecutors are calling final witnesses to rebut testimony from an Austin lawyer facing racketeering charges in a South Texas judicial corruption case.

Lawyers for Marc Rosenthal rested Monday after he spent three days on the stand in Corpus Christi.

The Valley Morning Star reports the prosecution rested last week, but called a rebuttal witness late Monday. The case is expected to go to the jury later Tuesday.

Rosenthal is accused of bribing former state District Judge Abel Limas, who failed to advance beyond the primary in his 2008 re-election bid.

Rosenthal allegedly sought favorable rulings from Limas before he left the bench at the end of 2008 and also offered him a job.

Limas has already pleaded guilty to racketeering and awaits sentencing.
