Small fire reported inside Harlingen movie theater

Authorities are investigating the cause of a small fire reported inside a popular movie theater in Harlingen.

It all happened at the Cinemark 16 off Expressway 77/83 in Harlingen around 3:30 p.m. Monday.

No injuries were reported but firefighters were called to the movie theater where there were many onlookers.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the fire started at the movie theater's concession stand.

An electrical short or wire is believed to have sparked the fire.
