Authorities have charged a third person in connection with a Valentine Day's shootout in the middle of a peaceful Harlingen neighborhood.

Harlingen police filed attempted murder and engaging in organized criminal activity charges against Ruby Meza Garcia on Wednesday.

Court records show that that the 33-year-old woman worked as a maid at a home on Adrian Street.

The home was scene of a shootout between armed men and a security guard around 10 p.m. on Valentine's Day.

Investigators already charged Samuel Garcia and Texas Syndicate gang member Juan Gabriel Falcon for their roles in the crime.

Court records show that members of the Texas Syndicate were after a safe filled with cash inside the home as early as January 31st.

Meza Garza was supposed to leave the front door unlocked for the gang members but the crime didn't go down that night as planned.

A fourth person only identified as "Salas" remains at large in the shooting.

Harlingen police arrested Meza Garcia back on Friday, February 15th.

According to a police report obtained by Action 4 News, police were looking for aggravated assault suspect Israel Balboa-DeLeon when then encountered her at a home off West Hayes Avenue.

Investigators said Meza Garcia was Balboa-DeLeon's girlfriend and helped him hide from police by moving him to different homes around town.

Meza Garcia is behind bars at the Cameron County Jail under $106,500 dollars in bonds for attempted murder, engaging in organized criminal activity, hindering apprehension and three motion to revoke probations for failure to identify and two counts of theft.
