Baby’s First Steps Learning on 855 Ringgold Street in Brownsville is busted with rodent contamination during a city check-up.
A health inspector took numerous photos of violations which included rodent droppings and juice on the floor.
The owner, Magnolia Garduno, refused to answer questions as to why action wasn’t taken prior to the health inspection.
“What happened?” Action 4’s Ryan Wolf asked. “Why did it get to that level? Why did it take the health inspector to get it cleaned?”
“I have no comment for that,” Magnolia answered.
“Why is that?” the Food Patrol said in response. “Is that not a fair question?”
“I choose not to comment,” she said. “The problem has been solved.”
The business was ordered to fumigate and sanitize the kitchen area.
The daycare scored 13 demerits.
It wasn’t the worst score this week on Food 4 Thought.
One restaurant scored 43 demerits and closed its doors after kitchen cops revealed a roach infestation.
