Authorities are continuing their fight against oil theft south of the border.

The Mexican Army released new statistics late Saturday about its fight against against drug cartels.

Among the arrests for drugs and weapons were seizures for stolen oil and gasoline.

The Mexican Army confirmed it found seven illegal oil siphons in Tamaulipas between January 19th and 25th.

Soldiers reported seizing tanker trucks carrying 31,400 liters of gasoline.

The Mexican Army also reported seizing 6,000 liters of diesel and 100,000 liters of condensed natural gas.

Soldiers seized another 45 containers that hold 1,000 liters of fuel, which is sold on the streets as discounted pirate gasoline.

Experts say stolen fuel has become big business for organized crime organizations in Mexico.
