Alcohol suspected in fatal crash

Fatal rollover in La Blanca / Source: Sgt. Johnny Hernandez, Texas Highway Patrol

A 24-year-old man is dead after a rollover crash that occurred early Friday morning in La Blanca.

Texas Department of Public Safety Sergeant Johnny Hernandez tells Action 4 News, the accident happened just before 3 a.m. Friday on FM 493, north of Texas 107.

Hernandez says Sergio Toral-Juarez, of Vera Cruz, MX., was driving his Ford F-150 north on FM 493 at a high speed and lost control, crashing into a utility pole.

Authorities do believe the speed he was traveling at and alcohol are factors in this crash.

An investigation is underway.
