Elderly driver caught without seat belt & 400 lbs of marijuana

Texas Department of Public Safety caught a 61-year-old driver with marijuana.

A 61-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday after he was caught with 400 pounds of marijuana in his car.

On Wednesday morning, a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) trooper pulled over the driver of a Ford for not wearing his seatbelt.

When the trooper approached the vehicle, he saw the bundles of marijuana in the back seat.

The driver was immediately taken into custody.

Drugs were also found in the trunk of the car.

The arrest happened at the intersection of U.S. 83 and F.M. 886 in Starr County.
