Weslaco police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a woman they believe is involved in a felony theft case.
On Jan. 8, officers responded to a report of a theft of a small enclosed trailer at America's Best Value Inn, in the 3000 of East Expressway 83.

The owner of the trailer reported that he parked it in the motel parking lot.
Investigators were able to obtain video showing a female being dropped off at the motel, by someone in an older model sports SUV.
The woman is seen entering the lobby and speaking to the clerk, while the vehicle drives to the area where the trailer is parked, the female leaves and walks to the same area.
Minutes later, the car is seen pulling the trailer out of the parking lot.
"We want them to try and not park it in a secluded area of the parking lot,” Weslaco Police Spokesperson J.P. Rodriguez said. They should try and be aware of the surveillance video and use that as a tool to help them protect their belongings.”
Officer J.P. Rodriguez said those who need to stay somewhere for a night, or unhook a trailor need to check on it every hour or so.
