A man is behind bars after being accused of raping a woman in the parking lot of a popular Harlingen bar.
Harlingen police arrested Arturo Ramirez, Jr. on a sexual assault charge early Tuesday morning.
Investigators told Action 4 News that Ramirez is accused of raping a woman in the parking lot of the Point back on November 23rd.
The popular bar is located off East Harrison Avenue and 2nd Street.
Ramirez is accused of getting the woman to meet him outside in the parking lot, forcing her into a pickup truck and raping her.
A police report was filed at the time prompting an investigation.
Police said two of Ramirez's friends were at the scene and are believed to have closed the truck's door but it's not clear if they are facing charges at this time.
