Two women are behind bars after deputies allegedly caught them with shampoo bottles filled with liquid meth.

Cameron County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested Cristina Ruby Casas and Mayra Argelia Garcia late Wednesday night.

Sheriff Omar Lucio said deputies were working at the Brownsville bus station inspecting a northbound bus.

Lucio said deputies were looking through luggage when they came across a box filled with shampoo bottles belonging to Casas and Garcia.

Deputies allege that the bottles were filled with liquid methamphetamines instead of shampoo.

Both women are now behind bars under possession of a controlled substance charges.

It's not clear where they got the bottles from or where they were going but the case remains under investigation.
