Missing Harlingen man found in Peñitas jail

A missing man in Harlingen has been found.

Action 4 News reported the story on Monday where police were searching for 44-year-old Rene Villarreal after he was last seen at his home in Harlingen on Saturday night at 10pm.

The family contacted Action 4 News Monday night with new information that Villarreal had been found.

He was located at a jail in Peñitas, bailed out, and returned home to his family.

Family members said Villarreal had been arrested for public intoxication.
