Robbery suspect arrested after overnight standoff in San Juan

A robbery suspect is behind bars after an overnight standoff in San Juan where he allegedly took a woman and her children hostage.

It all happened at a mobile home park off Carrol and Cesar Chavez Road around 10 p.m. Wednesday.

San Juan police told Action 4 News that the police chased a robbery suspect to the RV park where he ran inside a mobile home.

The suspect allegedly held a woman and her children hostage.

Police rescued the woman and the children but the suspect remained in the mobile home until 2:40 a.m. Thursday when police talked him out.

The suspect will be arraigned on felony charges this afternoon.
