Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found inside an SUV with a gunshot wound to the head.
It all happened on a canal bank near Doffing Road and Mile 3 North just north of Palmview.
A deputy constable patrolling the area made the discovery around 2:14 p.m. Friday.
Investigators believe the suspect drove away in a 1998 Chevy truck with chrome wheels and large rear-view mirrors.
A heavyset Hispanic male wearing a blue shirt was seen driving the truck.
