Authorities are searching for man who allegedly shot his brother-in-law during a Christmas Even argument in San Juan.

It all happened at a home off El Sauz and Sgt. Treviño Streets in north San Juan around 4 p.m. Monday.

San Juan police said a man was arguing with his brother-in-law when he allegedly took out a gun and shot him.

It’s not clear what they were arguing about but police said the victim was shot on three times: twice in the back and once in the neck.

Paramedics rushed the injured man to a local hospital where he’s expected to recover from non-fatal injuries.

Investigators said the victim claims he and his brother-in-law didn't have problems so he has no idea why he would shoot him.

Police are looking for the suspect at this time but have not released his identity at this time.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
