Cameron County 357th State District Judge Leonel Alejandro has announced he is retiring from his position.

Judge Alejandro told Action 4 News Thursday he reached retirement age this summer.

He has not announced an official date on when he will be stepping down.

Judge Alejandro has served with the county for more than 10 years.

The Judge also told Action 4 News rumors of him ‘resigning’ or being ‘linked to the Abel Limas’ case are quote absolutely not true.
