Fire leaves Port Isabel family homeless for holidays

A Port Isabel family is left without a place to stay for the holiday season after a fire destroyed part of their house.

A family of four lived at the residence on Garcia and Washington Street.

According to Port Isabel Chief Gonzales the family lost many things in the fire, including Christmas gifts. 

The Salvation Army is working to help the family find a temporary place to stay.

Action 4 News  will provide more information regarding donations for the family.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
