Three McAllen men charged with 'cockfighting'

Three men are behind bars in McAllen—charged with ‘cockfighting.’
 
According to police Francisco Jesus Rodriguez, Jesus Felix, and Javier Solis have been charged with ‘cockfighting’ and possession of a controlled substance in a drug-free zone.

Their bonds were set at $90,000. 

McAllen police told Action 4 News the received a tip about suspicious activity taking place on the 2300 block of West Dallas Avenue.

When they arrived, officers found marijuana, cocaine, and roosters.

In total 162 pounds of marijuana was seized, .88 grams of cocaine, and 61 roosters.

The roosters were taken to the county.

This case remains under investigation.
