Woman hit by car while riding bike on UTPA campus

Authorities are investigating an accident where a car allegedly hit a person riding a bicycle at the UTPA campus.

It all happened off Sugar and Schunior Roads around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators said a young woman was hit while riding her bicycle.

It's not clear who was at fault but paramedics treated the young woman for her injuries.

UTPA officials described the injuries as non-life threatening.
