After several days on the run, a man accused of beating his wife with a baseball bat surrendered to police.

San Juan police said suspect Waldo Sanchez turned himself in early Thursday morning.

Sanchez has been charged with assault on a family member after he allegedly beat his wife with a baseball bat.

His attorney Al Alvarez claims Sanchez is the real victim in all of this because his wife was having an affair.

Sanchez was issued a $300,000 dollar bond and given a restraining order.

He is not allowed with 200 feet of his wife’s home or two children's schools.
