One man is behind bars but authorities are searching for the second suspect accused of robbing a raspa stand in Rio Grande City.

It all happened at the Ice Age Snow Cone stand on the 700 block of Avasolo Street around 8 p.m. Sunday.

Rio Grande City police reported that two men forced there way into the business wearing shirts over their faces.

The two suspects allegedly threatened an employee with a knife and a screwdriver.

The employee was not injured but police said the two subjects ran off on foot with around $100 dollars in cash and a portable DVD player.

Officers arrested suspect 20-year-old Juan De Dios Garza a block and a half away from the scene of the crime about an hour later.

Investigators said he lives two blocks form the snow cone stand.

Detectives are working on obtaining an arrest warrant for the second suspect whose name has not been released at this time.
