My Country Store in Sebastian temporarily locked customers inside the business Wednesday afternoon in an attempt to keep the Food Patrol from entering to question a rodent infestation.
The store is located on along Business 77 and FM 506.
It scored 13 demerits on an initial health inspection report.
A state health inspector found 100 fresh rodent droppings along with a live rodent during the checkup.
The report indicated that there were also gnawed loafs of bread and bags of chips.
My Country Store voluntarily shutdown to try and clean up.
But a re-inspection showed 3 live rodents during the state visit.
When a worker opened the locked door to let a customer outside the store, Action 4’s Ryan Wolf pressed for answers into the dirty dining.
