Get ready to lace up your best running shoes this Veteran's Day weekend for a good cause.

The University of Texas Pan American Accounting Society will be hosting their "Make it Count" 5K run on Saturday, Nov. 10.

Proceeds from the run will benefit the Rio Grande Children's Home.

Monica Salinas and Pricilla Manzewitch explained more about the run and the charity aspect on Action 4 Sunrise.

It will be held at the Edinburg Municipal Park at 8 a.m. To register, head to their website at www.active.com and use the keyword "make it count".           

Pre-registration starts at 6:30 a.m. and will cost you $12; the day of the event you'll see a $15 fee or $10 with canned food donations.
