A Harlingen woman found hunched over in her car, was allegedly drunk at the wheel.
According to Harlingen Police, someone spotted 22 year old Courtney Carpenter, passed out inside her car at the 200 block of Ed Carey Drive late Thursday night.
When police arrived the say they found Carpenter’s car was still on and so were the lights.
The officers tried to wake her up several times, before she finally was able to get out of the car.
In the report, the officer stated Carpenter performed poorly on the standardized field sobriety tests and refused a breathalyzer test.
Carpenter was transported to the Harlingen city jail where she was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
She was given a $1,500 bond.
