Pharr Police arrested a man in possession of drugs, as well as for a parole warrant, during a traffic stop on Thursday evening.
An officer stopped Advelardo Soto, 37, on the 700 block of South Cage Blvd, at about 6 p.m.
According to police, the officer smelled marijuana on Soto, and upon checking for warrants discovered he had a parole warrant for his arrest.
As the officer took him into custody, he also discovered 98 grams of marijuana in his possession.
A search on Soto’s white Dodge pickup netted nine baggies of crack cocaine.
