A 17-year-old has been arrested for two counts of manslaughter following Monday night’s deadly rollover accident.

Martin Villareal is the suspected driver of the car that rolled over on Ruben M. Torres Boulevard near McAllen Road.

The rollover killed two illegal immigrants, a 13-year-old and 19-year-old from Mexico.

The 13-year-old from Matamoros died at the scene and the 19-year-old from Mexico City died at Valley Regional Medical Center.

Brownsville police suspect that Villareal was one of two suspects who fled the scene after the accident.

More arrests are pending with this case.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Brownsville Police Department at 548-7060.
