The Texas A&M University campus in College Station has been evacuated following a campus-wide bomb threat.

University officials sent out an alert just before 11:45 a.m. Friday.

Authorities are asking students, faculty and staff to evacuate the campus by foot and as quickly as possible.

Evacuees are asked not to use their cars at this time.

The evacuation is effective until further notice.

The bomb threat at Texas A&M follows weeks after campus-wide bomb threats at the University of Texas in Austin and the University of Texas in Brownsville.

None of the three incidents appear to be related.
