A 34-year-old man is behind bars after leading Weslaco police on a chase that ended with a crash four cities away.

Weslaco police arrested Daniel Lee Garza on an evading arrest with a motor vehicle charge early Friday morning.

It all started on the U.S. Expressway 83 when an officer allegedly saw Garza driving with a rim missing the tire.

Garza allegedly led officers on a high-speed chase through Donna, Alamo and San Juan before crashing his car in Pharr.

Garza appeared before a Weslaco municipal court judge on Friday afternoon where he was issued a $20,000 dollar bond.
