The victim of an abduction that occurred Tuesday at the University of Pan American campus in Edinburg has been safely recovered and returned to her family.

According to a statement released by the campus Thursday they said Edinburg Police , Texas Rangers, FBI and UT system police were successful in this outcome.

The victim's name will not be released at this time as this is still an ongoing investigation.
