Authorities have confirmed a second escape in one day's time at a mental health facility in Harlingen.
Harlingen firefighters and police were called to the Rio Grande State Center around 9 p.m. Wednesday.
Authorities were asked to search the building's the roof for an escaped patient.
But investigators confirmed that the patient was found about 2.5 miles away off Ed Carey Drive and Expressway 77/83.
Another patient had escaped from the facility on Wednesday morning and jumped in the Arroyo Colorado but was pulled from the water three miles away.
