A federal judge in McAllen issued search warrants requesting the cell phones of six individuals arrested for stealing more than two dozen weapons from a feed store in Mission back in July.

According to the court documents, filed September 20, the call logs, text messages and emails within the cell phones could provide important information pertaining to their criminal activities.

Prosecutors also argued that the cell phones can reveal the names and numbers to their criminal associates, especially those that have not been caught.

Mission Police arrested five men and a woman on July 16, after they broke into the Southwest Hay and Feed store and stole 29 guns.

The five men, Juan Jesus Lopez, Rolando Salazar, Edwardo Gonzalez, Ivan Garcia, and Christian Madriz, all remained at the Hidalgo County jail.

Meanwhile, Kazarah Neydene Acosta obtained a PR bond and was released from jail on September 11.
