After over a month on the run, the final suspect in the “Fajita Bandit” case has been arrested.

According to Weslaco Police P.I.O., J.P. Rodriguez, Jose Roel Gonzalez was arrested this week in Cameron County by sheriff deputies.

Gonzalez has been on the run since August 14 when he and another woman, Brenda Lee Villarreal, were caught on tape stealing 15 pounds of fajita meat and ribs from a Weslaco supermarket.

They were also wanted for stealing gas from a nearby gas station after stealing the meat.

Villareal turned herself into police on September 11.
