A Harlingen truck driver is behind bars in the Houston area after authorities allegedly found more than $500,000 dollars in cash hidden inside his 18-wheeler.

Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested 38-year-old Juan Jose Lopez on a felony money laundering charge last Wednesday.

Investigators reported on their Facebook page that a deputy stopped Lopez's 18-wheeler made several erratic lane changes just outside Rosenberg.

A deputy pulled over the 18-wheeler on southbound U.S. Highway 59 and Daily Road.

Lopez allegedly appeared suspicious prompting the deputy to conduct a K-9 search of the 18-wheeler.

The K-9 allegedly led deputies to $509,000 dollars hidden inside the tractor-trailer.

Lopez remains in custody in the Fort Bend County Jail under a $125,000 dollar bond.
