Man goes missing in Weslaco

Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an elderly man who has gone missing in Weslaco.

The family of Edward H. Owens turned to Action 4 News to help find the missing 56-year-old man.

Weslaco police confirmed that a missing persons case has been filed.

Owens went missing form his home off Chaparral Street and Texas Boulevard on the city's southside on Sunday evening.

Family members reported that Owens takes medications for seizures and that he sometimes becomes disoriented.

The missing man is and he is described as 6 feet 1 inch tall  and weighing about 175 pounds, bald and with a white beard.  He also wears glasses.

Owens was last seen wearing a long sleeve blue shirt and carrying a plastic bag.
 
Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to contact the Weslaco Police Department at (956) 968-8591.
