Preliminary autopsy results show “no evidence of significant trauma” on the body of a former state representative found dead in Harlingen.

A report released to Action 4 News late Wednesday afternoon shows that more time is needed to determine a cause of death for Don Lee.

Police confirmed a belt was found laying across Lee’s shoulder.

Lee's family is holding a memorial service tonight at Buck Ashcraft Funeral Home off Ed Carey Drive in Harlingen on Wednesday evening.

The former lawmaker is expected to be buried with full honors at a state cemetery in Austin where other legislators have been buried.

Lee escaped from the Canterbury Court Alzheimer's care center off Hale Drive last Thursday.

Just three days later, Lee’s son found his body near a canal just two blocks away from the care center.
