The search for a missing 52-year-old Harlingen man with a potentially deadly medical condition has now spanned across several law enforcement agencies across South Texas.

David Mark Garcia walked out the front door of his home over a week ago.

He suffers from seizures and must take daily pills to control them, but he left them behind, and his family says not taking them for a period of time could be deadly.

"The more time that passes, I'm starting to lose hope that we'll even see him alive," his brother Albert Garcia said.

The family is hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

"The worst thing I could even think of is someone mistreating my brother because he doesn’t deserve that," he added.

Earlier in the week, Harlingen police discovered David withdrew money and bought a bus ticket for Robstown, but he never made it there.

Deputies from the Kleberg County Sheriff’s Office reviewed surveillance video showing David getting off the bus during a scheduled break in Riviera.

Albert said his brother looked disoriented on video, and had a hard time finding his way back.

"By the time he came in they had already left, they left him behind," he said.

In the past week, Albert met with deputies in Kleberg and Brooks Counties, as well as Robstown Police to file reports.

His family also littered the area with fliers, but so far no luck.

"My dad had has the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s and he can’t walk,” Albert said. “It’s one of those things where he's devastated, as well as I am."

He admitted his biggest fear is never finding his brother.

The family is begging anyone with any information, or anyone with relatives in Riviera or Robstown to call police their police department if they have seen him.
