Zumba has taken the nation by storm since it first appeared on the dance scene, but now there's a group in the Rio Grande Valley doing it for more than a workout.

A group of zumba enthusiasts are trying to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

They brought a group of instructors to Action 4 Sunrise to tell us about their cause and show off some zumba moves live this morning.

With the help of some instructors and through a local gym, they have been able to put together a Zumbathon on Sunday, August 19th from 2-4 p.m.

It will be at the Rialto in Harlingen and the fee is only $10. Proceeds will go towards finding a cure for juvenile and type one diabetes.
