Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an 81-year-old woman who went missing in Brownsville.
Family members told Action 4 News that they last saw Cayetana Hernandez on Wednesday afternoon.
Hernandez left her daughter's house off Westland Avenue on the city's northside around 2:45 p.m.
The elderly woman drove off in her grey Buick Century and was headed to Sunrise Mall to pick up a relative.
Family members said Hernandez never made it there and filed a missing persons report with Brownsville police.
Hernandez lives off Tradition Circle is described as an elderly Hispanic female, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds with grey hair.
Investigators said her car has Texas license plates W96FXV but the vehicle has not been located.
Family members told Action 4 News that Hernandez does not suffer from any illness.
Local officials with the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) issued a Silver Alert for Hernandez late Thrusday afternoon.
