Four men are behind bars in connection to 25 guns that were stolen in a mission burglary Monday morning.

Mission police reported that detectives linked the men to the early Monday morning burglary of Southwest Hay & Feed off West 2 Mile Line.

A group of burglars stole 25 weapons from a section of the store used for gun sales.

Investigators said police recovered nine of the hand guns and the m-4 assault rifle.

Eight of the hand guns were recovered from a 2001 Dodge minivan found Tuesday morning in Donna. A small about of marijuana and synthetic marijuana were also found in the vehicle.

"We do know they have been distributed.  And the people we have in custody either have possession of a firearm or had information on one of them,” Mission Police Chief Martin Garza said.

Two of the men in police custody are believed to have participated in the burglary.

Police told Action 4 News that more arrests are possible as the investigation continues to find the rest of the stolen weapons.
