A Starr County deputy investigator found himself on the other side of the law after being arrested by the FBI as part of a criminal investigation.

Starr County Sheriff Rene Fuentes confirmed that his Investigator Nazario Solis is in federal custody.

Sheriff Fuentes said it was all part of a sealed federal indictment.

Solis' arrested did not appear on federal court records as of late Thursday afternoon.

But the deputy is expected to appear before a federal judge in McAllen on Friday morning.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.
