A teenage girl is dead and two men are fighting for their lives following a Sunday morning crash in Brownsville.
It all happened on the 4900 block of Boca Chica Boulevard around 7 a.m. Sunday.
Brownsville police reported that 17-year-old passenger Diane Reyes lost her life in the accident.
Police said the driver somehow lost control of his eastbound Volkswagen Jetta and struck a van in on-coming traffic.
Both the driver and a second man who was in the back seat were injured in the accident.
The two men are listed in critical condition where one was flown to a hospital outside the Rio Grande Valley.
Police said the driver of the van was not injured.
No charges have been filed while it’s unknown at this time if alcohol or speed may have played a factor.
