Authorities are asking for the public's help in finding an Alton homeowner who was allegedly kidnapped by two armed men.

It all happened off Mile 7 and a Half North and Trosper Road north of Alton around 3:20 p.m. Friday.

Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office deputies told Action 4 News that two armed men kidnapped 34-year-old Alejandro Gomez.

Witnesses told deputies that one of the suspects was carrying a handgun and slid the van door open and forcing the man inside a black van.

A motive for the kidnapping is not clear but issued an alert and notified all of the Rio Grande Valley’s international bridges about the incident.

Anyone with information about Gomez's whereabouts or the kidnapping is asked to call Hidalgo County Crime Stoppers at (956) 668-TIPS.
