Authorities are investigating an armed kidnapping that took place north of Alton on Friday afternoon.
It all happened off Mile 7 and a Half North and Trosper Road around 3:20 p.m. Friday.
Sheriff Lupe Treviño told Action 4 News that investigators don’t have much to go on.
Witnesses told deputies that that two heavy set men drove up to a home in a black van and confronted the homeowner.
One of the suspects was carrying a handgun and slid the van door open and forcing the man inside.
An identity of the victim was not immediately available and the motive for the kidnapping is not clear.
Sheriff Treviño said authorities don't have any further description of the suspects at this time.
But deputies alerted local authorities and all of the Rio Grande Valley’s international bridges about the incident and the black van.
