With just the slide of the finger and a tap on the screen, anyone can instantly send a message to anyone around the world.

But AT&T is now using these tools to host the “It's a Great Day to Love a Soldier” event.

The program gives the public a chance to send encouraging video messages to deployed soldiers all over the world.

For Luis Peña, the message is extra special.

He’s sending it to his older brother, a person he has looked up to his entire life.

"He's always been a father figure to me,” Peña said. “I look up to him and love him."

While his brother's absence hasn't been easy on him, Peña said couldn't be more proud of his big brother and all of the other men and women protecting the freedom he enjoys.
